Tribute to John Howard. RIP.

Brothers Peter (left) and John Howard, of St George, Sydney, won both the Australian Championship and the Australian Junior Championship Skate titles in Ceduna last week, with their boat Boneyard.

Pete Howard would like to pass on the sad news that his brother John Howard, the 97/98 Skate Champion, sadly passed away unexpectedly yesterday 8/10/21. He was 44 years old and taken way too soon.

Note there are COVID restrictions in place for funerals.


The service for John will be held at South Chapel Woronora Memorial Park Linden Street Sutherland Thursday 21 October 10 am.

Skate 63rd National Championship Ceduna Sailing Club

29th December 2019 - 6th January 2020


Steve Hudson and grandson Bodhi De Freitas of WA on 973 - On the Road Again - took out the 63rd Skate National Championship making it back-to-back Championship wins for them and the third year in a row that a Western Australian skate has won the Championship.
